Ms. Nicole Heroux

Nicole E. Heroux is an accomplished educational leader with a robust background in special education and school administration.Nicole received her Masters of Education from American International College and her undergraduate degree from Castleton University. Currently serving as the Director of Student Services for the Granby Public Schools in Granby, Massachusetts, Nicole is dedicated to creating inclusive learning environments where all students can thrive. In the past Nicole was a Middle School Principal. With multiple certifications—including Massachusetts Special Education Administrator and Superintendent Licenses—she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role.

Nicole's career spans over two decades in various educational roles, including Director of Student Services and Education Director, where she has successfully overseen the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), collaborated with families and educators, and ensured compliance with federal and state regulations. She is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Massachusetts, where she shares her expertise with future educators.

An active member of her community, Nicole serves as the President of the Western Mass Special Education Directors Association and is involved with the School System.. Her educational philosophy centers on high expectations, clear goals, and the belief that every child can learn when given the right support.

In her spare time, Nicole enjoys watching her children in local sports and advocating for students' needs, reflecting her passion for fostering growth and development both in and out of the classroom.
